Cacti of the American deserts. Several Organ Pipe Cacti in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona. The Organ Pipe (Stenocerus thurberi) is the most abundant species of large cactus in the southern part of the desert, close to the border with Mexico. This photograph was taken at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument in the south-west part of Arizona.
