Caption

Bladder cancer cells dividing. Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of bladder cancer cells dividing. This is the final stage of cell division (cytokinesis). The cells are only attached by a cytoplasmic bridge (thin thread). Bladder cancer is more common in men than women. The main risk factors are a family history of the disease, smoking and exposure to certain chemicals.
