Cancer research. Female researcher using a multi-pipette as she works with cultured human neuroblastoma cancer cells in a class II biological safety cabinet. The cells are being grown to see how they are affected by various combinations of anticancer (chemotherapy) drugs. The cabinet keeps the cells in a completely sterile environment, as well as protecting the researcher from exposure to them and the toxic chemotherapy drugs she is using. A microscope (lower left) and a stand of pipettes (lower right) are also seen. Photographed in the laboratory of the Paediatric Oncology Unit of the Cancer Research Unit at Newcastle University, England.
