The samples were analysed automatically using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and fluorescence detection. The individual chemicals forming a sample were separated in the HPLC, before being identified by the fluorescence detector through their characteristic emission spectra of radiation. It is important to verify experimentally-derived relationships between the doses of drugs and their anticancer effects.
