Caption

Desert flowers. View of giant saguaro (or sahuaro) cacti (Carnegiea gigantea) back-lit by sunlight. Saguaro cacti are amongst the largest in the world. They can grow up to around 15 metres tall, and may have as many as 50 arms. Like many cacti, the saguaro blooms at night, relying on moths, bats and birds for pollination. Photographed in Organ Pipe National Monument, Arizona, USA.
