Saguaro cactus (Carnegiea gigantea) against a starfield. This tall cactus, also called sahuaro, inhabits the deserts of southern North America. It may reach a height of 15 metres. At far right, above one of the arms of the cactus, is the Pleiades star cluster (M45). The bright star Procyon (Alpha Canis Minoris) is below the arm at lower left. Photographed in the Tonto National Forest, Arizona, USA.
