The disease has spread (metastasised) to other organs in the abdomen. Hodgkin's disease is a malignant (cancerous) growth of cells in the lymph system. The most common symptom is swollen, non-painful lymph nodes in the upper body. Treatment involves chemotherapy and radiotherapy, depending on the stage of the disease.
