This rotated frontal view from an intracranial MRA demonstrates the typical appearance of a high flow arterial venous malformation (AVM). AVMs are masses of abnormal blood vessels in the brain. This AVM is supplied by enlarged branches of the middle cerebral artery. Venous drainage is primarily superiorally through superficial cortical veins to the superior sagittal sinus.
