Eczema with fungal infection on a patient's foot. Eczema is an inflammation of the skin accompanied by itching and blisters. Here, it is accompanied by a fungal infection (white patches). Often the cause of the eczema is unknown. The eczema may be treated with soothing ointments and corticosteroid drugs. Fungal infections are normally treated with antifungal creams to be applied to the skin. Oral antifungal medication is used in severe cases.
