Infected eczema behind the ear of a nine-year-old boy. This condition is an inflammation of the skin accompanied by itching and blisters. Secondary infection of the blisters can occur as a result of scratching (seen here) or poor hygiene. Eczema does not always have a known cause. It can be treated with soothing ointments and corticoid steroids.
