Eczema on face. Seborrhoeic eczema and rosacea on the face of a 51 year old man. Eczema is an inflammation of the skin accompanied by itching and blisters. Seborrhoeic eczema is when there is an excessive secretion of sebum (oil and cellular debris) due to the condition. Rosacea usually begins from a temporary flushing of the face, for example after drinking alcohol. It then develops into a permanent reddening of the skin. Eczema and rosacea rarely have a known cause.
