Seborrhoeic wart on a 64-year-old man's cheek, below his right eye. As well as the wart, the patient also has a benign squamous papilloma (upper left). A seborrhoeic wart is a common benign (non-cancerous) skin tumour also known as basal cell papilloma or seborrhoeic keratosis. It is harmless, but may be removed by freezing (cryotherapy) for cosmetic reasons.
