Seasickness. Teenaged girl leaning over the edge of a boat. She is suffering from seasickness, a form of motion sickness caused by the rocking motion of a boat on water. Motion sickness is due to the effect of repetitive movement on the organ of balance in the inner ear. It varies in severity from a feeling of discomfort to excessive nausea and vomiting. Antiemetic drugs can reduce the nausea.
