Water delivery system at the Breidjing Refugee Camp in Chad, home to around 30,000 refugees from Somalia. These large containers placed on low platforms are filled with water. The water then flows through buried pipes to delivery points where refugees can collect their daily supplies. This ensures a continual supply of precious drinking and cooking water to the 30,000 occupants of the camp, preventing the risk of dehydration and malnutrition. Photographed in 2004.
