Skin tumour on a 65-year-old man. This is a rare type of skin tumour known as a naevus lipomatosus cutaneous superficialis (NLCS or Hoffmann-Zurhelle syndrome). It consists of fatty tumour (lipoma) tissue within the dermis layer of the skin. If it is left untreated, the tumour can become extremely large. Treatment is by surgical excision.
