Caption

Pityriasis rosea skin rash. This skin disorder is thought to be viral in origin. It starts with a single "herald" patch that is followed, around 1-2 weeks later by a generalized outbreak of mildly to severely itchy patches. Local use of steroids and oral use of antihistamines can give relief from itching. The rash should resolve within 12 weeks.
