Nasal polyps. Rhinoscope view of polyps inside a patient's nose in a case of nasal polyposis. Polyps are tumours (growths) that occur on mucus membranes. Nasal polyps are removed if they turn cancerous or begin to obstruct the air flow. Polyposis is a term for a condition where numerous polyps form on a surface, as opposed to single polyp or just a few polyps. A rhinoscope is a type of endoscope used to examine the inside of the nose.
