Infected psoriasis on the toes of a 61 year old man. Psoriasis is a chronic skin disorder (dermatosis) where excessive growth can lead to scaly, thickened patches of skin. Here, the skin has become infected with the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus sp. and Pseudomonas sp., which has exposed the underlying layer of skin.
