Anxiety may be caused by a fear of public places and open spaces (agoraphobia) or panic attacks. Other causes include obsessive- compulsive disorder or major life events such as divorce. Treatment depends on the cause of the problem and includes counselling, psychotherapy and drugs to reduce the anxiety. Alternatively the image may represent a state of confusion.
