Verruca treatment. Verruca on the foot of a 19- year-old woman, 10 days after treatment with cryotherapy. Verrucas are growths on the skin caused by a viral infection. Cryotherapy uses liquid nitrogen to freeze and kill the verruca. Cryotherapy results in a blister, which becomes a scab and usually falls off after a week to 10 days. Larger verrucas, like the one here, may need several treatments.
