Caption

This axial (cross sectional) CT image of the head shows that the right (on your left) cerebral peduncle is smaller than the left side. There is evidence of a large, old infarct (stroke) in the right (on your left) cerebral hemisphere. The smaller right cerebral peduncle is a result of Wallerian Degeneration, also called distal axonal degeneration.
