Allergy testing. Woman during a skin prick allergy test for antibiotics. Her arms will be subcutan- eously injected with various antibiotic solutions at the marked positions. Allergens such as pollen and dust may also be tested this way. Any skin inflammation or other immune response indicates that she is allergic to that antibiotic. The antibiotics that cause an allergic reaction will be ruled out from further medical treatment.
