Flymo finger. This hand has had the terminal bone (distal phalanx) of the fourth finger severed in a garden lawnmower accident. This injury is sometimes termed "flymo finger". The rotating blade of the mower also, though less seriously, caught the tips of the third and fifth fingers. Healing appears complete, with little noticeable effect on the third and fifth digits. The top of the fourth digit has been closed surgically, and has also healed well.
