Forehead injury. Close-up of swelling to the forehead due to blunt trauma (injury) in a 13- year-old boy. There is no fracture. This swelling (oedema) is due to bleeding in and around the damaged soft tissue of the area causing localized inflammation. The swelling usually goes down gradually without treatment.
