Bruised groin of a 79 year old man six days after an angiography procedure to insert a stent into an artery. The bruising is caused by internal bleeding. Angiography is a procedure in which an X-ray contrast medium is injected into blood vessels to highlight them on an X-ray. A stent is used to open a narrowed artery.
