This sagittal (from the side) MRI image of the brain shows the typical appearance of an Arnold-Chiari Malformation (or Chiari II). There is downward displacement of posterior fossa contents into the upper cervical canal. Tectal Beaking is seen. There is dysgenesis/partial agenesis of the corpus callosum. In addition to this congential malformation there is mass-like enlargement of the pituitary gland.
