Caption

Disabled woman playing together with a capuchin monkey Cebus sp. The monkey was raised and trained from infancy to develop "human" skills and abilities by an organisation called Simian Aides for the Handicapped. The monkey is able to do simple tasks such as turning on switches, setting up food, drink and music tapes. The disabled woman is affected by quadriplegia, the paralysis of all four limbs and the trunk. It is caused by damage to the spinal cord in the neck region. The condition results in loss of feeling and power in the affected parts.
