Cerebral palsy. Occupational therapists fitting a girl suffering from cerebral palsy into a physiotherapy seat and table. These are designed to support the girl in order to correct the postural problems she has. The girl is playing with a toy. This occupational therapy is aimed at ensuring that the girl can lead as normal a life as possible. Cerebral palsy is a developmental abnormality caused by damage to the brain of a baby during late pregnancy, childbirth or early childhood. It can result in anything from slight weakness and a lack of limb coordination to complete paralysis.
