This composite of two images from a CT of the paranasal sinuses in a person with chronic cocaine abuse shows a large defect involving the cartilagenous portion of the nasal septum. This is a known consequence of cocaine abuse. Other processes which can result in a septal defect are Wegener's Granulomatosis and midline lethal granuloma. There is also deviation of the nasal septum to the right.
