Borage. Dew-covered flower of the annual herb borage or star flower, Borago officinalis. This medicinal plant can be used to treat inflamed or irritated skin complaints such as dermatitis. The leaves can be used in salads, while the flowers are used as flavourings and to make blue dye. Borage is cultivated for culinary use, but also grows wild in some parts of Europe.
