Caption

Intravenous drip being adjusted by a doctor. He is attaching a second tube to the two-way valve of the drip. This allows a single bag to be used to supply fluid to more than one area of the patient. A drip is used to administer fluids through these tubes to a patient (not seen). The fluid may be saline, which is used to replace body fluids in dehydrated patients, or the fluid may contains drugs.
