Urography. X-ray opaque contrast medium being injected into a vein in a woman's arm during urography, or pyelography, the production of X-ray images of the urinary tract. Her kidneys will gradually filter the contrast medium out of her blood and pass it along her ureters to her bladder. X-rays are taken before and after the injection. The patient has a urinary tract infection.
