Urography. Radiologist preparing a woman for a urogram or pyelogram (urinary tract X- ray). The radiologist is placing an X-ray plate beneath the patient, while the X-ray machine is seen above her abdomen. She has had an X-ray opaque contrast medium injected into a vein in her arm. Her kidneys will gradually filter the contrast medium out of her blood and pass it along her ureters to her bladder. X-rays are taken before and after the injection. The patient has a urinary tract infection.
