MRI brain scans used in the Dynamic Brain Atlas, a resource collecting brain scans from a wide variety of patients that allows doctors to compare brain scans quickly and easily. By collecting a large number of scans from patients, small differences between individual brains are highlighted, which aids the diagnosis of brain disorders. The system utilises the power of The Grid, a network of supercomputers that can be accessed from a normal desktop computer. The system has been devised by scientists from King's College, Imperial College and Oxford University, England.
