Shoulder arthroscopy procedure. Surgeon inserting an arthroscope (a type of endoscope) into a patient's shoulder. This is a minimally-invasive type of surgery (keyhole surgery) where a fibre optic tube sends back pictures that are displayed on the screen in the background. The surgeons will be able to assess conditions inside the joint and then either take a biopsy (tissue sample) for further examination, or carry out corrective surgery.
