Eye examination. Young woman looks through a refractor during an eye (ophthalmic) examination. This equipment is used for a clinical measurement and correction of refractive errors of the eye. A series of lenses are dialed into place as the patient reads a wall chart. The ability to read the chart guides the ophthalmologist in choosing lenses to correct the sight of a patient.
