Ambulanceman adjusting a patient's oxygen mask before loading him into the ambulance for the trip to hospital. This type of mask is known as a Venturi mask and is used particularly for bronchitic patients. The patient also has an intravenous drip inserted into a vein on the back of his left hand. This may be used to supply drugs, blood, plasma or saline.
