Blood sample testing. Technicians analysing data from blood samples for properties of coagulation. Coagulation is the ability of blood to form protein filaments during clotting. Clotting is a mechanism of blood solidification that prevents blood loss by rapidly sealing damaged vessels. Clotting disorders are either caused by inappropriate clotting (thrombosis) or insufficient clotting (haemophilia).
