Caption

Doctor taking blood for cholesterol analysis by pricking his woman patient's finger. A drop of blood is placed on a test tab & the cholesterol content visualized as a colour change. The tab is placed in a device (a Reflotron) which electronically converts this colour into a numerical value, expressed in mg of cholesterol per decilitres of blood. The amount of saturated (mostly animal-derived) fats in the diet is the main influence of blood cholesterol levels. High values are implicated in coronary heart disease & obesity & demand reduction through change in diet.
