Its causes are various & include wax in the ear passage, diseases of the inner ear such as otosclerosis & Meniere's Diseases, drugs such as aspirin & quinine & abnormalities of the auditory nerve. Here, the doctor has placed a vibrating tuning fork on his patient's head during part of the assessment.
