Neck fusion surgery. Surgeon performs a neck fusion operation in a hospital operating theatre. He wears a lamp mounted on his head to provide additional light. During the procedure, bone or cartilage is taken from the pelvis (hip bone) of the patient and transplanted into affected areas of the spine of the neck. The surgeon wears a full-body suit, including face mask and gloves, to maintain sterile conditions. An operating theatre lamp is seen overhead.
