Arm surgery. Surgery to remove scar tissue from a previous fasciotomy. Fasciotomy is a procedure where the fascia (thin connective tissue covering muscles or internal organs) is cut or removed. It is carried out to relieve pressure from inflammation or from fluid build-up after an injury. The red colour of the patient's skin is due to the antiseptic preparation used.
