Operating theatre equipment used to monitor & control the delivery of anaesthetic gases. The dials (bottom) record the pressure of oxygen (white), nitrous oxide (blue), and carbon dioxide (grey). Above and to the left are corresponding flowmeters for these gases. The two units to the right of this are regulators for dispensing Halothane, a non- inflammable anaesthetic gas which has the advantage of fast patient recovery from its effects, and Trilene (trichloroethene), an anaesthetic used mainly for inducing analgesia or light anaesthesia in obstetrics and dentistry.
