Mastic tree (Pistacia lentiscus). This plant is the source of mastic resin, which is used in high- grade varnishes and as a fixative in perfumes, tooth paste, glue and a temporary filling for teeth. The plant is also used in herbal medicine as a diuretic and in the treatments of diarrhoea, boils, ulcers, ringworm and muscular stiffness.
