Chemotherapy drug preparation. Nurses preparing a dose of chemotherapy drugs for a cancer patient. These drugs are cytotoxic, killing rapidly dividing cells such as cancer cells. The drugs also kill healthy cells in some tissues, leading to side effects such as hair loss, nausea and tiredness. The dosage is double- checked for safety. Each cancer patient needs an individual drug preparation.
