Physiotherapist working with a stroke patient. The patient, a 29-year old woman, suffered a stroke in the right side of her brain, leading to a left hemiparesis (unilateral paralysis). Here the physiotherapist is encouraging the patient to perform bilateral actions, picking up and moving each peg by gripping it between both hands. This is to help the patient regain some use of her left arm.
