Physiotherapy. Man's fingers sink between rice grains during a physiotherapy exercise of his hand. The rice grains offer a degree of resistance to fine hand movements. The hand is moved in various ways: grasping, extend- ing, using individual finger movements, so that mobility and dexterity of the hand can be improved. Physiotherapy is the treatment of disorders or injuries using physical methods, such as exercise, massage or manipulation to help restore muscle strength and reduce joint stiffness.
