Sunbed. A woman seen at the end of a session on a sunbed. The sunbed consists of arrays of fluorescent tubes which have a high emission of ultraviolet light. Most modern sunbeds emit light in the UV-A band (320-380 nanometres), the shorter-wavelength UV-B band (280-320nm) being more potentially harmful to the skin.
