Electro-acupuncture. Male patient receives electro-acupuncture therapy on his face. Some of the acupuncture needles are attached to an electrical unit by clips and wires. The unit allows the acupuncture points to be stimulated by current applied to the needles. This stimulation is a modern adaptation of the traditional method of rotating the needle manually. Acupuncture is a part of traditional Chinese medicine which aims to balance different forces with the body. Photographed in Hanoi, Vietnam.
