Herbal teas. Tray containing an assortment of herbal teas and a teapot. Herbal tea is an infusion of herbs in boiling water, drunk for their beneficial effects. Camomile (Chamomilla nobilis, lower right) is brewed to make a sedative drink, while lemon verbena (Lippia Citradora, top centre) can be brewed to relieve indigestion and anxiety. Fennel (Foeniculan vulgare, lower left) can be used to treat flatulence and other digestive disorders, whilst rosehip (lower centre) is an excellent source of vitamin C. The flowers are Rosa rugosa roses and the feathery leaves are of fennel.
